Obituary of Hershel Back

Hershel Back, 84, died Monday April 28 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood.
He was a machinist for Ford Motor Co., a World War II Army veteran and a member of Latonia Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge of Covington and United Auto Workers.
His daughter, Delecia "Lisa" Haddix, died in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Potter Back; sons, Hershel V. and Darrel W. Back; sisters, Blanche Byrd and Nancy Lee Arnold; brothers, Virgil, Ivan and Kelly "Junior" Back; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday May 1 and services will be 11 a.m. Friday May 2 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
