Obituary of Mary Eades

Mary "Libby" Elizabeth Sanders Eades, 85, died Friday April 11 at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was retired from Cincinnati Bell after 30 years. She was a member of Florence Christian Church, the Communication Workers of America Union, was a union steward for Cincinnati Bell and taught special needs children at Florence Christian Church. Her hobbies included painting, quilting, needlepoint, crocheting and knitting sweaters for children in foreign countries through Harmony House. Her daughter, Rebecca Ruth Vanderpool, died in 1988. Survivors include her husband, Linville "Pete" Eades; daughters, Mary Cecil Easterday, Lelia Katherine Bates and Barbara June "Bobby" Beckner; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday April 14 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 U.S. 25, Florence, KY 41042. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday April 15 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.
