Robert Charles Steiner, age 88, of Florence, passed away Friday, May 17th, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence. He was a retired Safety Engineer for St. Paul Fire & Marine in St. Paul, MN and the National Inspection Company in Chicago, IL. Mr. Steiner was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of St. Timothy Church in Union, KY. He was previously active in the Boy Scouts, started a Boy Scout Troop at St. Ann Church in Cincinnati, OH, and volunteered at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Chicago, IL. His hobbies included photography and traveling. Survivors include his wife (63 years) Sally Jacobs Steiner; sons, Craig A. (Debbie) Steiner of Florence and Roy E. (Jane) Steiner of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Kevin Steiner, Christina Steiner, Samantha Steiner, and Alex Steiner; great-grandchildren, Jenna Steiner and Jacob Steiner. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence will be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America, 10078 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241.
