Obituary of Danny Napier

Danny Napier, 86, of Williamstown, formerly of Independence passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice of Edgewood. He was born September 15, 1926 in Newport, proudly served in the United States Navy's Construction Battalion, was a retired mechanic from UPS where he was a member of the Teamsters Local Union, was a member of the Bradford Masonic Lodge #123 at the Scottish Rite, and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and bluegrass and Alan Jackson music. He was the beloved husband of 65 years of Iona (Yelton) Napier; loving father of Linda Ledford of Cold Springs, Barbara (Raymond) Calvin of Ocala, FL, Beverly (Rodney) Ballard of Edgewood, and Robert Napier (Kathy Goodrich) of Williamstown; proud grandfather of Shannon (Aaron) Herrington, Jared Binder, Britni (Jonathan) Colwell, Zac Ballard, Wes Ballard, Tara (Rob) Wilson and Jolynn Napier (Chris Miller); cherished great-grandfather of Trey, Kylie, Natalie, Marcus, Eli, Katelynn, Aiden and James; and dear brother of Geneva James of Richmond, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Napier and Alice (Dezarn) Brooks, son Harold Douglas Napier, sisters Ruth Rhodus, Mary Belew and brothers Frank and Gene Napier. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 Noon Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy. Florence, KY 41042 with military honors.
