Obituary of Louis Menefee

Louis Wayne Menefee, age 59, of Sparta, KY, passed away Saturday morning, February 23, 2013, at his residence. He was a former Youth Worker for the Kentucky State Police and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Wayne had also participated in the Civil Air Patrol Search & Rescue Team and enjoyed going to the shooting range, spending time with his family, and being an active member of Sparta Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Gail Cain Menefee; daughters Tracy Lancaster of Sparta, Sharon Menefee-Mann of Independence, and Pamela Menefee of Sparta; son Brian Menefee of Ohio; brother, Butch Menefee of Warsaw; grandchildren Matt, Logan, Preston, Dante, and Destinie; and great-grandchild Chandler.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon at Sparta Baptist Church, 173 Kentucky Highway 467 West, Sparta, KY 41086. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence is handling the arrangements.
