Obituary of Virginia Moffett

Virginia Pruett Moffett, 97, of Covington, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Baptist Village Care Center of Erlanger. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Thomas Moffett, Sr. in 2003 and grandson Randy Cooper. She is survived by son Thomas (Marilyn) Moffett, Jr. of Covington; daughters Joyce (Donald) Cooper of Independence and Patricia (Melvin) Whiteker of Taylor Mill; three granddaughters, three grandsons, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was the oldest member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where she had attended church all her life. She was a former Sunday School Teacher and former president of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Women.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, February 8, 2013 also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church 1910 Walton-Nicholson Pk., Walton, KY 41094.
