Obituary of Carolyn Franxman

Carolyn H. Franxman, 66, of Piner passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She retired from the Kenton County Board of Education in November where she served as both the Secretary to the Board and the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent. She was a member of the KOSAA and a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Walton. She graduated from Simon Kenton High School in 1964. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Rosella Helmer. Survivors include her husband of 46 years Walter Franxman; son Jeff (Marie) Franxman of DeMossville; daughter Monica (Jeff) Egger of Morning View; sisters Roseann Whisler of Phoenix, Martha Pearce of Independence, Melinda Franxman of Morning View, Mary Jo Huber of Phoenix; brothers Mark Helmer of Florence, Mike Helmer of Crittenden, Pat Helmer of Verona; and grandchildren Lance, Jordan, Montgomery, Amelia, and Lincoln. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, mentor and friend to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church of Walton, with a reception celebrating her life to follow. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
