We are so sorry for the loss of Sam. I can remember Sam in elementary school on our field trips. He was a great kid. Nolan always liked Sam. Nolan wasn't able to come to his funeral, but he said to please write you all a note. I know this has affected Nolan so much, more than people realize. Nolan holds it all in. I can't imagine what you all are going through or how you feel. I hope bullying stops, and I am willing to help in anyway. Sam is at peace now, and I'm sure my brother is watching over him. He was only 20 when he passed away and it stays with you forever. If I can do anything, and I mean anything, please call me, even if it's to talk. I only live 5 minutes away! Sam, this is to you, thanks for being a special friend to Nolan. I'm sure he appreciated that! See ya someday!

Dear Denham Family, My heart breaks for you after reading your story in the Cincinnati Enquirer online. My thoughts and prayers are with you, as you navigate through all of the complex emotions during this time. While I respect your wish to not have Sam's tormenters proscecuted, it is my hope that somehow, in some way, they are held responsible for their part in what led your precious Sam to make the horrifying decision that he did. I also hope that ALL of the school districts, not only in Kentucky, but across the country realize that Sam represents an epidemic that is PREVENTABLE. Should you choose in the months or years ahead to share your story with other school districts and families in Northern Kentucky, I would be honored to come and hear you speak. May the loving memories you have of Sam bring you comfort now and in the future.

Denham Family: I didn't know Sam but my daughter went to school with him since the 4th grade. She says he was one of her first friends. I am so sorry for your loss and just know that Sam is now in a better place, where he is at peace, there are no bullies and he can live life to the fullest. God Bless Sam and your whole family!

I am so sorry for your loss and the circumstances in which it occurred. As evidenced by the amazing turn out at the candlelight vigil, Sam had a tremendous influence on the lives of those he touched.
