Obituary of Dixie Carroll

Dixie Carroll, 89, of Covington passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at Woodcrest Manor of Elsmere. She was a waitress for Pat's Restaurant of Western Hills and worked in the restaurant and bakery business all her life. Dixie helped raise her brothers and sisters and along with Kathyrn helped raise her granddaughter Julie. She was preceded in death by her parents Speros and Anna Petredis; daughters Kathryn Carroll, and Mary Windsor; sister Helen Ollerdisse; brothers Stanley, Jimmy, Billy and Chris Petredis; niece Peggy Ollerdisse; and nephew Michael Ollerdisse. Survivors include son David (Pat) Carroll of Cincinnati, OH; sisters Pauline Michels and Lucy (Ken) Kyburz; grandchildren Julie (Kurt) Keeney and their children Kadyn and Vivie Kate, Charlie Windsor and Family, Misty Lynn Clemmons and Family; nieces Phyllis Canada and Lisa Jones; nephew Ken (Rita) Ollerdisse; great-niece Kristi Canada and her children the "Grandkids" Kaeleigh, Danylle, Tannar, and Garrett; and great-nephew Jimmy (Charity) Jones;. Dixie was very independent and spunky. She never asked for anything and was truly cherished by her family. She also enjoyed reading, spending time with her great-grandchildren, traveling to the Grand Victoria for the butterfly slot machines, and a good cup of coffee…. "if it's fresh!" Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11AM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens of Cincinnati.
