Obituary of James Gleason

James Gleason, age 76, of Piner, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially farming and hunting, and was a former factory worker. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Lykins Gleason; daughter, Bernadine (Ben) Heeger; sons, John Patrick (Toni) Gleason and Matthew (Mary Jo) Gleason; sister, Judith Elaine Mann; and grandchildren, Jared, Jade, Jacob, Jaclyn Jayna, and James.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Gleason Family Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
