Obituary of Dorothy Hamilton

Dorothy L. Hamilton, 92, formerly of Independence, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a former employee of Round Paper Packaging, a Sunday school teacher and charter member of Beechgrove Baptist Church, Independence, who loved to evangelize and host visiting missionaries. Her husband, Weldon Hamilton and daughter, Addline Mahoney, died previously. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Janeway, Carol Herrmann, Donna Turner, Linda Burchfield and Gloria Frye; sister, Corda Kidwell; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Service will be noon Tuesday at Beechgrove Baptist Church, Independence. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery.
