Obituary of Al Holzmeister

Albert Patrick Holzmeister, 69, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on November 24, 2024 at Vitas Hospice. Al was born on January 30, 1955 to Albert George Holzmeister and Coletta Clara [McCann] Holzmeister.

Al retired from a career at Orkin Pest Control.  He was a proud alumnus of Elder High School, part of the graduating class of 1974. During his school year at Elder, his love for music was fostered, nourished and blossomed into a lifelong passion. A member of numerous bands such as Richie and The Students, Cincinnati German Band, and Mt. St. Joseph’s Band, Al is most remembered for his study and practice of playing the trombone.  This sweet and stubborn man will be forever missed.

Al is the beloved brother of Melissa (Craig) Wilkerson and dear uncle to niece Megan(Aaron) Fuller, nephews Ian Wilkerson and Ryan Wilkerson as well as great-niece Katie Fuller. Al was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Larry Holzmeister.
