Obituary of Rachel Gabrielle Marie Gilliam
Our precious Rachel Gabrielle Marie Gilliam, beloved baby girl of Kenny and Melissa Gilliam of Independence, KY. came into the world on May 23, 2024, she was baptized on May 30, 2024, and called to her heavenly home on June 4, 2024 where she now stands before God, in the arms of His loving Mother, a Saint.
Rachel’s name was chosen by her adoring brother. She is the family’s little “Rae” of sunshine. With her pure smile, her calm yet serious little face, she enchanted all those around her. She had the sweetest, most content disposition!! She simply was the perfect baby, too perfect for earth. She shines down on us now and is already showering little blessings upon her family, who is missing her so very deeply. She experienced nothing but love and affection from her family and friends, and she knew nothing but comfort and warmth. She has touched the hearts of so many.
Rachel was the youngest of 5 children: beloved sister to Josie Gilliam, Kenny "Turbo" Gilliam, Mila Gilliam, and Ava Gilliam. She was an adored grandchild to “Grammy” Regina Gilliam, “Papaw” Ken Gilliam, “Gigi” Djedda Denke and “G-pa” Michael Denke. Rachel was also Great-Grandchild to Great-Grandmas Rubel Gilliam and Irene Denke.
Rachel was a cherished niece to Marta Gilliam, Regina (Matt) Schneider, Laura Gilliam, Joseph (Aggie) Denke, Nicole Denke, Veronica Denke, Luke Denke, Angel Denke, Tina Denke, and J.J. Denke. She was the youngest cousin to Nathan, Ruby, Matt, Noah, Mia, Abi, Christopher, Jojo, Addie, Penny, Gus, and Vince. She was also a treasured godchild to John and Stephanie Bobka.
Our family would like to thank each of you for the continuous outpour of love, support and prayers during this time. We are so humbled by our generous community.
