Obituary of Lois Howard

Lois Howard, 87, left her earthly home to be with the Lord on October 26^th, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Hazard, KY on March 11^th, 1936 to Dennis and Dorothy Thornsberry. Lois was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Covington, KY for many years. She enjoyed partnering with her husband, Reverend Donald Howard, in every church service leading Sunday school and worship services. You would find her leading songs and accompanying others on her guitar each Sunday. More than anything, Lois loved to sing and play her guitar in worship to her Lord and Savior. After many years working as a photo lab tech, Lois retired from Qualex in Cincinnati. OH.

Along with her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Johnson, who passed in 2003, as well as her brothers and sisters.

Lois will be greatly missed by her husband of 69 years, Don Howard; her children, Charlotte Goins and Donald Stephen Howard; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 3^rd, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 NOON at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The service will follow at 12:00 NOON at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, Lois will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Covington, KY 41015.
