To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Joe has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God's Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ. I was an engineering intern at Duke Energy in the summer of 2018 where I got the chance to meet Goat. One of the days I was asssigned with Goat as part of my training and that's when I got to know about his hardworking and humorous personality. He even bought me a lunch that day and I will always remember the bucket ride that he gave me in his truck. Even though I only had the opportunity to be around him for one day, I really had a memorable time with him. He was a person with great skills and an expert understanding of his profession. His passing away will be a great loss to everyone around him. Praying for his family during this hard time. Will miss you Goat.

I remember when we were all little kids together. Your sister Becky was one of my closest friends and still is. We always made time to hang out with you, Paul and Rochelle. That seems like only yesterday. You were a bright light in this world and I hope you find your way in the next one. Go with God Joe and be in peace until everyone sees each other again.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Joes passing. I've known Joe for over thirty years. Unfortunately the road of life has many forks and he went his way to raise his family and I did the same. Often times we get so busy staying in touch becomes difficult. I now regret not closing the gaps. I hope Joe's family reads this and know I regarded him as a friend and always will. I know he was proud of his family and I hope they are of him. He was a fine example of a good man. Joe was a person you could call on at any moment in need. He provided a lot of laughs in and outside of school and I will cherish those memories. Please know I would love to be there for the funeral but I'm out of town on business. I can assure you he is in good hands with Chris and his team at Chambers & Grubbs. While they are tending to his body I'm confident he has passed through the gates of Heaven and has been reunited with family and friends that have left before him. I would love to spend a day there to see his smile and hear his laugh again. We all must realize life is short but at the end is just the beginning. Godspeed Joe.
