So sorry to your entire family, for your loss. Even though I did not know Mr. B, long, (as we knew him in our neighborhood), what I do know is how friendly & how much he made me feel welcomed when I would come down to see him. And of course, his long stories he would tell me, which actually I really did enjoy! Sincerely, Laura Davis

Ray was a very special person to us all at the Florence Senior Activity Center. Ray was known as the friendly greeter. Anyone that would come through the center doors would always get a warm "welcome, come on in" or "nice to see you". Everyone knew Ray. He would get hugs and loved the conversation he had. Ray was a loyal volunteer at the center. He was always helping. He loved to help prep the coffee bar with pastries. He would help keep the center clean. Our Ray loved to play chair volleyball. He was on the Wii Bowling travel team. Ray was a positive and encouraging supporter of the center managers. If he seen we were having a challenging day. He would stop us to say, "You girls are going a great job. That is why I love coming here."
Our Ray always had a smile on his face. At the Christmas party, he would get up and dance with everyone. He always had some advice to give at education presentations. He loved coming to potlucks especially when the managers cooked. Ray came to all the special parties. But his favorite was Veterans Day. The day we would honor him and all the veterans there at the party.
Our hearts are heavy. Ray will be missed. But we know our Ray's heart and soul now walks in heaven with God.
As Ray would often say "keep doing a good job baby".
