Obituary of Edward "Ervin" Hamilton

     Edward “Ervin” Hamilton, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the age of 88.

     He was born in Boone County, KY on July 14, 1930; son of the late Edward and Lucie Marie Hamilton. Ervin worked for Dixie Dew for 29+ years and was a member of Beaver Lick Baptist Church. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean war.

     Ervin was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Lois Richey.

     He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 67 years, Kathleen Hamilton; son, Edward Hamilton, Jr.; sister, Evelyn Nora Yancey; grandchildren, Rená, Tony, Amy and Jeffrey; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss and cherish his memory.

     A visitation for Ervin will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. Burial will immediately follow in procession to Beaver Lick Christian Cemetery in Walton, KY.

     Memorials in Ervin’s name may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
