Obituary of Angela "Sis" Elizabeth Wesselman
Angela Elizabeth “Sis” (nee Wulfeck) Wesselman, of Independence, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the age of 85.
She was born in Covington, KY on July 13, 1933; the daughter of Arthur and Barbara Wulfeck. Sis was a proud homemaker who was a wonderful wife and the best mother to six children, hands down. She was a devoted member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Society. Sis also loved to square dance, crotchet and complete word puzzles. She excelled in her baking skills, especially Christmas cookies making bread, and could bake just about anything. Sis was also part of the Auxiliary with the American Legion Moon Bros. Post #275, Independence, KY and the O.P.P.S.S..
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Barbara Pelzer and Anne Friedhoff; and a brother, Robert Wulfeck.
Sis is survived by her caring and devoted husband of 63 years, Bernard William “Wes” Wesselman; loving children, Jude Andrew (Carole) Wesselman, Jeffrey Paul Wesselman, Janet Marie (David) Farris, Bernard William (Rachelle) Wesselman Jr., Randolph Carl (Karen) Wesselman and Jerome Christopher (Karen) Wesselman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends who will mourn her loss and carry on her memory.
A visitation for Sis will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A second visitation will take place the following day, Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Father Mario Tizziani will officiate the Mass. Burial will immediately follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery, located just behind the church.
Memorials in Sis’ name may be given to the St. Cecilia Church Building Fund (see address above) or to Companions of St. Anthony, 12290 Folly Quarter Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042.
