Obituary of George Edward Wyrick

     George Edward Wyrick of Wilder, KY passed away at his residence on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the age of 62.

     He was born in Covington, KY on September 9, 1955; the son of George and Helen Wyrick, Sr. George retired from Corken Steel as a sheet metal worker and enjoyed fishing, watching football, playing volleyball and practicing karate in his younger days. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his cherished family and friends. George was a kind hearted person who was very generous and enjoyed helping people.

     He was preceded in death by his parents.

     George is survived by his loving wife, Edna Ruehl Wyrick; children, Beau (Audrey) Wyrick and Rachel (Kenny) Watson; brother, Steve Wyrick; step-sons, Danny Smith and Bobby Smith; mother of his children, Cheryl Forrest; four-legged friend and fur-baby, Benji; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss and carry on his memory.

     A visitation for George will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM the following day, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in George’s name to the Fairhaven Rescue Mission, 260 W. Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011.
