Obituary of Shirley Ann Hunter

Shirley Ann Hunter, age 73, of Covington, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at her residence. Shirley was born in Birmingham, AL, to the late Howard and Tommie Hill.

She enjoyed gardening, nursing house plants, and spending time with friends and family. Shirley will be remembered for her kind and caring heart. She most recently served as a member of Barrett Road Baptist Church in Columbus, OH and formerly served professionally as a TSA screening agent.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; step-sister, Johnnie Mae Williams ; grandson, Thaddeus Leonard II.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard “Dickie” Hunter; son, Thaddeus Leonard; daughter, Staci Hunter-Gaulden; devoted son-in-law, Tim Gaulden; 7 step-children; brother; Furman (Christine) Hill; step sister, Sarah Ann Williams; grandchildren, ReSheila Gaulden, LaRon Gaulden, Anastasia Leonard, Tyree Dunnings, Jr., and many others; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.

On behalf of Shirley, the family wishes to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Dan and Doug Flora, their staff, and the hospice care unit at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Edgewood, Ky.

In honor of Shirley’s request no services will be held.
