Obituary of Imogene Louise Pennington

Imogene (Elmore) Pennington, 83, of San Antonio, TX passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Meridian Care Facility in San Antonio, TX.  She was a retired clerk from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.  Imogene was a member of Eastern Star, was an avid bowler, enjoyed homemaking and loved animals of all kinds. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Pennington; son, Steve Pennington. 

Imogene is survived by her sons James “Jimmy” (Sharon) Pennington; Guy (Sandra) Pennington; grandchildren: Jessica (Kyle) Brefeld, Ryan (Danielle) Pennington, Jamie (Dallas) McDowell and Kara Pennington; great-grandchildren, Maxton Brefeld, Tenley Brefeld and Alexas McDowell. 

A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 12:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 North Main Street, Walton, KY 41094.  Interment of cremains will be held at a later time at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill.
