Obituary of Guy Manaugh
Guy William Manaugh, 47, of Union, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was born in Kettering, OH on March 15, 1970 to William and Edna.
As a young man he earned his Eagle Scout rank and served in the National Guard where he developed a deep love for his country. Guy was passionate about many things including cars and computers. His tinkering would last long into the night. Many of his friends would testify that he was a problem solver who would work selflessly on caring for the needs of others especially if technology or the game “Zork” was involved. His devotion to his wife and kids was evident in the time he spent with them watching movies, playing catch, and making them laugh.
Guy was a loyal employee of 5/3 Bank where he was a Vice President of Information Technology. Though he was known to be habitually late he would boast that he never missed a flight. He attended Crossroads Church in Florence, KY and suffered the pains associated with being a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Manaugh.
Guy is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Melody Manaugh; son, Guy Manaugh, Jr.; daughter, Calliope Manaugh; mother, Edna (Don) VanDerKarr; sister, Melissa (John) Feldmeier; niece, Emma Feldmeier; nephew, Jack Feldmeier; faithful companions, Chaser and Charcoal; as well as many other relatives and friends.
