Obituary of Ray Gibson

Arnold Ray “Razor” Gibson, Jr., age 72, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by friends and family.  Ray worked for area grocery stores for most of his life.  He started by sweeping floors for Thriftway and eventually became the Store Manager for Remke’s Supermarket in Florence, KY.  Ray never met a stranger and was known to have a friendly greeting for all those who entered the store.  When he wasn’t working, he loved to spend time with his friends and family at Lake Cumberland, KY, playing euchre and spending time on the water.  During the winter, he loved watching his beloved U.K. Wildcats and cheering them on.  Ray was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Ray Gibson, Sr.  He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa D. Gibson; mother, Louise Gibson; daughter, Christy Gibson; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.  The visitation for Ray will be Friday, March 8, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  His funeral service will be Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.  His interment will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, Ft.
