Raymond L. Polking, age 84 of Independence, Ky. passed away Wednesday 9/7/11 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood, Ky.. He was a retired set-up person with Merton Printing. Ray was a member of Nicholson Christian Church and enjoyed golfing. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Edith Polking. Survived by his sister, Jean Smith(Jack) of Milford, Oh. and Thomas L. Polking(Sylvia) of Daytona Beach, Fl., 1 grandson Chad Smith and 2 great-grandchildren, Joshua and Tamara Smith.
Services will be at Chambers & Grubbs Independence. Visitation will be 11-12 pm. Monday 9/12/11. Funeral service will be held at noon. Burial at Floral Hills Cemetery.
