Obituary of Laura Bernice Pennington

Laura Bernice McWhorter Pennington, 76, of Demossville, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Fowler Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Her husband, Arthur Pennington, died in 1996.
Survivors include daughters Carolyn Robinson of Manchester, Patricia "Treysa" Stephens of Pine Knot and Donna Gray of Dry Ridge; a son, Roger Pennington of Elsmere; sisters Beatrice Greer of Hamilton, Ohio, and Dora Mae Parker of Ross, Ohio; brothers Granville McWhorter of Fairfield, Ohio, Seymour McWhorter of Middletown, Ohio, Ance McWhorter Jr. of Warsaw and Charles T. McWhorter of Manchester; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fowler Creek Free Will Baptist Church, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass-Northern Kentucky, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075.
