Obituary of Orville Howard Michael Yanke

Orville Howard "Michael" Yanke, 66, of Cincinnati, died Thursday at the VA Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired sergeant major from the U.S. Army, a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion, and a former troop master with the Boy Scouts. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Yanke; sons, Stephen Joseph Yanke and Ronald Howard Yanke, both of Florence, and David Michael Yanke of Covington; a daughter, Karen Parsons of Erlanger; a stepson, Richard Docter of Cincinnati; stepdaughters, Deanna Taulbee and Mary Whittington, both of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren. Services will be at noon Monday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
