Obituary of Raleigh Burns

Raleigh Burns, 74, of Independence, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired leadman with Standard Castings, and a member of Bradford Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Bentley Burns of Independence; a son, Lyle W. Burns of Independence; a daughter, Rita G. Baker of Taylor Mill; a brother, Paul Burns of Alexandria, Va.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
