Obituary of Nina Schoonover

Nina Caywood Schoonover, 84, of Independence, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of Community Pentecostal Church, Independence. A daughter, Anita Schoonover, died in 2003. Daughter-in-law, Shirley Schoonover, died in 2005. Survivors include her husband, Oscar Schoonover; a daughter, Sherry Schoonover of Columbus, Ohio; sons, David Schoonover of Brownstown, Ind., and Michael Schoonover of Florence; a brother, Earl Caywood of Independence; and nine grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Community Pentecostal Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Road, Independence, Ky. 41051. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence, is handling arrangements.
