Obituary of Jeffery Allen Taylor
Please share a memory of Jeffery to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeffery Allen Taylor of Crittenden, age 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on July 22, 1961, to the late Marion Allen Taylor and Betty Joyce (Leake) Taylor. If you knew Jeff, you are familiar with his great sense of humor and some of the stories that he shared. He truly enjoyed making others laugh and was considered the jokester of his family. Jeff had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could. He enjoyed spending his free time golfing or relaxing by a lake or pool. He also enjoyed traveling and taking a vacation, although he did not get to go as often as he would have liked. Jeff had a strong work ethic and had worked around excavating and trucking since he was 5 years old. He owned and operated his own excavating business for many years before retiring. Many friends and relatives of Jeff know that his door was “always open”. He loved spending time with people he cared about, especially when he threw one of his parties at the animal house. Jeff was a dad, brother, grandpa, uncle, and friend who will be missed beyond measure.
He is survived by his son, Mitchell Allen (Kayla) Taylor; siblings, Becky Asher and Cindy (Gladen) Maust; his beloved grandchildren, Remington Taylor and Reece Taylor; his nephews, Sam Maust, Nick Maust, and Allen (Kim) Asher; great-nephew, Grayson Maust; great-niece, Adalynn Maust; as well as several other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Vogel Asher.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Andy Parker’s house, 13048 Percival Road Walton, KY 41094. Memorial donations can be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
