Obituary of Deborah Ann Yelton-Kuehne

Deborah Ann Yelton-Kuehne, 75, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, service, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Deborah was the daughter of the late Philip and Mary Ann (Walker) Yelton. A woman of strength, compassion, and dedication, Deborah made history through her commitment to helping others as the first female paramedic in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Her pioneering role opened doors for women who followed in her footsteps and reflected her courage, determination, and caring spirit.

Above all, Deborah was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who treasured the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Andrew (Allison) Kuehne, Joe (Megan) Kuehne, and Mathew Rieper; her brother, Wayne (Lynette) Haley; and her beloved grandchildren, Brady Kuehne, Parker Kuehne, Jacob Kuehne, Carter Martin, and Taylor Kuehne.

In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Stuart Yelton.

Deborah will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many lives she touched through her years of service. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 23^rd, 2026 at The Motley Home's White Barn Event Center, 5975 N. Jefferson St., Burlington, KY 41005 from 2pm-5pm.

 Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Deborah, share stories, honor her remarkable life, and celebrate the love and memories she leaves behind.

May she rest peacefully, forever remembered for the life she lived, the people she helped, and the love she gave to her family.
