Obituary of Vernon Marvin Lovelace

     Vernon Marvin Lovelace, of Florence, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the age of 86.

     He was born in Flemingsburg, KY on October 25, 1930; the son of Jeff and Dorothy Lovelace. Vernon served in the United States Army and retired from the Kentucky State Parks Department as a Water and Sewage Plant Operator. He was a Mason, oversaw Boy Scout Troop #805 in Union, KY and worked at both Big Bone State Park and the boat dock.

     Vernon was preceded in death by his parent and sisters, Jewel, Tilly and Joyce.

     He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Roxie; children, John (Diana) Lovelace, Bobbi Jo Lovelace and Sandra Lee (Daryl) Jones; step-children, Ron (Carolyn) Ingram, Mike (Jan) Ingram, Gladys (Don) Hubbard and Sandy Weibel; many grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

     A visitation for Vernon will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will immediately follow at Belleview Baptist Cemetery in Petersburg, KY.

     Memorials in Vernon’s name may be made to Boy Scout Troop #805, 10259 US 42, Union, KY 41091.
