Obituary of William Huffaker
William “Bill” Murphy Huffaker Jr., age 79, of Ryland Heights, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at his residence.
He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Independence.
Bill worked for CSX Railroad as a telegraph operator and throughout his life he enjoyed gospel music and watching westerns.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Mae Huffaker in 2008, son, William Huffaker III in 2004 and his daughter, Mary Virginia “Ginny” Huffaker in 2012.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Robin Hornsby (Del) and Laura Estelle; 7 grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A graveside service for Bill will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 beginning at 11AM, at Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill.
